The mother/daughter cat training team from Ukraine has once again charmed the judges from hit show America’s Got Talent with their amazing cat tricks, despite one diva cat deciding she’d do what she wanted.
When they first performed in May, they wowed the judges with their cats commitment to the biz. This time, in the judge cuts round to see who went to the live shows, the team promised (and delivered) new tricks from new cats.
The audience and judges sat with mouths agape at the cats performing, from riding on each other’s back while walking along on two legs to one kitteh using it’s front arms to carry itself across parallel bars. At one point, a fiesty kitty decided she wasn’t going to dance, and the judges’ looks indicated they were disappointed, but as cats are known to do, she changed her mind and danced in circles, delighting the crowd and the judges. Judge Howie Mandel made mention of the near ‘cat-astrophe,’ which made the audience laugh and often cranky Simon Cowell roll his eyes.
Simon did say that what was so impressive was that dogs like to please and training them isn’t as terribly tough as training cats, who don’t really care to please anyone. A known softie for animals, he and the other judges were impressed enough to send the act through to the live shows. If they win, the Savitsky cats will earn themselves a cool million and a job as a headlining act in Las Vegas.
Lori Ennis is a wife, mama and friend to all animals. A self-confessed “Hot Mess,” she lives wherever the Marine Corps takes her husband. Currently, that’s Maryland with her very spoiled Labrador Retriever-mix rescue pups and a ton of saltwater fish just tanking around. Lori’s family has fostered dogs for years, mostly Golden Retrievers, and knows no home is complete without an animal buddy (or seven)!
